Activistess®
Creative activism against stigmas
Hello, I'm Oli.
I speak about what disability does to a whole family, and what a family can do back.
I am the mother of Kai, who is autistic. Five months after he was born, I lost much of my hearing. For years the one person I most wanted to hear did not speak, and I could barely hear anyone else. I hid it. I kept working, kept smiling, and stopped going out.
Then I stopped hiding. I founded Activistess to say out loud what families usually keep to themselves: that autism happens to everyone around the child, that siblings and cousins are the ones nobody asks about, that parents need support too, and that nobody is embarrassed by glasses, so nobody should be embarrassed by hearing aids.
Today I speak, I inspire and I advocate. If you are planning a conference, a company event or a family gathering where an honest voice would help, I would love to hear from you.
Speaking. Inspiring. Advocating.
Oli Earle
Speaker · Mother · Founder of Activistess®
For more than twenty years Oli Earle has been the trusted right hand of ultra-high-net-worth families, fifteen of them as Family Office Director and Chief of Staff to the chairman of a global industrial group. Her responsibilities have included international properties, yachts, private aviation, a charitable foundation and one of the world's largest antiquarian book collections. It is a career built on discretion, and on doing many things at once under pressure.
She built it while raising her son Kai, who is autistic and was non-verbal as a small child, and while rebuilding her own life after losing much of her hearing. In 2019 she founded Activistess, originally under the name Ole Grant, as a platform for creative activism against the stigma of disability.
Oli has spoken on a panel at the Ambitious about Autism conference in London and appeared as a studio guest on ITV News London to talk about autism. She has given talks on living with hearing loss and has been featured in Femnisty and Access & Mobility. She has partnered with the hearing-technology company Unitron and is a former member of the Professional Speaking Association, with formal speaker training.
Born in Riga and a Londoner for over twenty years, Oli now divides her time between London and the United Arab Emirates. Russian is her first language, and she speaks fluent English and professional Italian. She holds a first-class BSc in Business Management and IT from the University of Hull, is a certified life coach, and completed The Science of Well-Being at Yale.
Oli speaks without a fee at community, charity and family events. For corporate and private events there is a speaker's engagement fee, which funds her advocacy work.
Activistess® is a registered trade mark of Impper Limited.
